Aftercare
Try and avoid heavy and spicy meals, as after treatment your body needs to concentrate its energies on healing and detoxification.
Try and avoid a hot bath, as this can dehydrate you further.
Avoid any heat treatments for 24 hours, such as sun-beds, saunas, hot tubs and steam rooms, again these add to dehydration.
Massage can move toxins around the body, so you should support yourself in the 24-28 hours following your treatment by taking things easy. Try and avoid any overly strenuous activity as your joints can be more flexible than usual, drink plenty of water to flush out toxins and also avoid caffeine & alcohol. Eat light & healthy meals that are easy to digest and assist the detoxification process. Rest as much as you can.
After a facial it your skin might be feeling a little more sensitive than usual so please treat your post-facial skin kindly. Avoid applying heavy makeup to your face after a treatment, your pores will be more open than usual and slightly more susceptible to bacteria. It’s a good idea to wash all your makeup brushes before applying makeup again the day after a facial too. Avoid exercising after a facial, the additional heat and sweat can irritate fresh exfoliated skin. Don’t exfoliate for 72 hours post your facial to allow the skin time to rest.
Support yourself by drinking plenty of water to flush toxins from the body and stay hydrated.
